Archeological Surveys for Bridges

CTDOT Office of Environmental Planning has identified each of our bridge replacement sites as potentially archeologically sensitive, Bass Road, Gager Hill Road, Brook rd. both locations). CTDOT has contracted Hertiage Consultants of Berlin, Connecticut to do the investigations.

Hertiage will be visiting each site and performing shovel tests within the project limits to identify any potential historic or cultural resources.

This work is scheduled to start next week (5/28/24), and potentially run into the first week of June.
